Wasps fly from spring until autumn. During late spring and in summer, until around the end of July, wasps are busy with the building of nests and the breeding of offspring and are hardly influenced by attractants. In late summer and autumn, however they are attracted by the smell of fruit. This is the time when wasps can become a plague, but on the other hand it is also the time when they can be succesfully combated by hanging up fly and wasp traps.
